Bristol Airport’s main terminal has clear signage for both taxi ranks and pre-booked private hire pickup. The hackney rank is outside the arrivals hall for walk-up black-cab style taxis. Pre-booked minicabs — including transfers booked with Airport Transfers Taxi — use the signed private hire collection area, which may differ from the public rank.
Arrivals: where to meet your driver
After baggage reclaim, follow signs for “Pre-booked Taxis” or “Private Hire”. Keep your booking confirmation and mobile charged — drivers may call if the pickup bay is busy. Provide your flight number when booking so dispatch can adjust for delays.
Departures: drop-off
For outbound flights, your driver drops you at the terminal forecourt for departures. Allow extra time during school holidays — the A38 approach to Lulsgate can queue at peak times.
